First Claim
1. A user equipment (UE) operable to report periodic channel state information (CSI), the UE having one or more processors configured to:
- identify a periodic CSI report that is prioritized for transmission to an evolved node B (eNB) when the UE operates in a coordinated multipoint (CoMP) and carrier aggregation (CA) configuration, the periodic CSI report being selected from a plurality of CSI reports, wherein the CSI reports are prioritized based on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) reporting type according to a first priority level, wherein the CSI reports are prioritized based on a CSI process index according to a second priority level when PUCCH reporting types for the CSI reports are the same, wherein the CSI reports are prioritized based on a serving cell index according to a third priority level when the PUCCH reporting types and CSI process indexes for the CSI reports are the same;
generate hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) feedback for transmission to the eNB;
combine the HARQ-ACK feedback with the periodic CSI report when the transmission of the periodic CSI report coincides with the transmission of the HARQ-ACK feedback; and
send the periodic CSI report combined with the HARQ-ACK feedback for transmission to the eNB, wherein the periodic CSI report for CoMP and CA in combination with the HARQ-ACK feedback is transmitted from the UE using a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) format 3.

Abstract
Technology for periodic channel state information (CSI) reporting from a user equipment (UE) configured for carrier aggregation is disclosed. One method can include the UE generating a plurality of periodic CSI reports for transmission in a subframe for a plurality of CSI processes, wherein each periodic CSI report corresponds to a CSI process with a CSI process index. A single periodic CSI report from the plurality of periodic CSI reports may be selected to multiplex with a hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) feedback. The periodic CSI report multiplex with the HARQ-ACK feedback and any scheduling request (SR) may be determined to have a bit size less than or equal to a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) format 3 maximum payload bit size. The periodic CSI report multiplexed with the HARQ-ACK feedback and any SR may be transmitted to a serving cell.
