1. A method of wireless communication, comprising:
- determining an operating cellular receive frequency band to be received at a user equipment and an operating cellular transmit frequency band;
determining at least one integer multiple of the operating cellular receive frequency band; and
selecting at least one Industrial Scientific and Medical (ISM) frequency band for ISM communications based on reducing interference between ISM communications and communications with the operating cellular receive frequency band and the operating cellular transmit frequency band, the interference caused by inter-modulation effects when a difference between the operating cellular transmit frequency band and an identified ISM transmit frequency band is substantially equal to the operating cellular receive frequency band.

Abstract
Frequency bands for Industrial Scientific and Medical (ISM) communications are selected to avoid interference with the cellular communication. In one aspect of the disclosure, the frequency bands for Bluetooth/WLAN communication are selected to avoid channels that are within a predetermined distance of a harmonic of a cellular (e.g., wireless wide area network) receive frequency band. That is, a frequency band is selected that is at least a predetermined distance from the cellular receive frequency bands.
