1. A method of manufacturing light emitting diode lighting assemblies having different initial light outputs comprising:

  • manufacturing a first heat sink using a manufacturing process;

    forming a first platform assembly having a plurality of light emitting diode lighting elements on a first substrate with an automated device;

    during the step of forming the first platform assembly, selecting with the automated device a first predetermined lumen output;

    manufacturing a second heat sink using the same manufacturing process as used to manufacture the first heat sink;

    inputting information into the automated device;

    forming a second platform assembly having a plurality of light emitting diode lighting elements on a second substrate with the automated device; and

    during the step of forming the second platform assembly, selecting a resistor with the automated device and forming the resistor onto the second substrate to provide a second predetermined lumen output based on the information inputted into the automated device.
