1. A system for dispensing a fluid comprising:

  • a peristaltic pump configured to force an aliquot of a radiopharmaceutical fluid from a fluid source into a fluid delivery channel;

    at least one radioactivity sensor configured to measure a sample value of a radioactivity property of the aliquot;

    a processor in communication with the peristaltic pump and the at least one radioactivity sensor; and

    a non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium in operable communication with the processor, wherein the computer-readable storage medium contains one or more programming instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to;

    receive the sample value of the radioactivity property of the aliquot,receive a source value of the radioactivity property for the fluid source,determine a sample volume of the aliquot based on a comparison of the sample value and the source value,determine a pump coefficient based on a comparison of the sample volume with an expected volume, wherein the pump coefficient is configured to indicate a volume of the radiopharmaceutical fluid forced into the fluid delivery channel per unit, andcontrol operation of the peristaltic pump to dispense a predetermined dose of the radiopharmaceutical fluid based on the comparison of the sample volume with the expected volume,wherein the sample volume of the aliquot is affected by at least one dimensional property of the fluid delivery channel.
