1. An end effector assembly suitable for use with a forceps, comprising:

  • opposing first and second jaw members pivotably mounted with respect to one another, wherein the first jaw member defines at least one pivot hole configured to receive a portion of a pivot pin therein; and

    an electrically-insulative hinge defining at least one pivot-hole locator, wherein the electrically-insulative hinge is fixedly bonded to the second jaw member such that the at least one pivot-hole locator aligns with the at least one pivot hole defined in the first jaw member, wherein the electrically-insulative hinge electrically isolates the jaw members from one another and includes a U-shaped body member having an entirely closed proximal end and an open distal end.
