1. A computer-implemented method for graphically presenting a collection of data, the method being performed by a programmed central processing unit, the method comprising steps of:

  • causing a user device to display a rendered 3D object, the object representing a collection of text data stored in a memory accessible by the central processing unit, wherein the collection includes a plurality of indexed content portions, with each portion being associated with a respective position on a surface of the object;

    receiving a user selection of a plurality of portions of the indexed content portions, the user selection being inputted by a user via the user device;

    determining, for each portion of the selection, a corresponding position on the surface of the object associated with that portion of the selection;

    causing the user device to display the portions of the selection at corresponding positions on the surface of the object associated with the portions of the selection;

    causing the user device to display lines connecting each portion of the selection with two other portions of the selection, wherein the portions of the selection and the lines connecting each portion of the selection form a facet;

    receiving a plurality of user selections that form a plurality of facets;

    grouping the plurality of facets to form a polygon; and

    indexing the polygon with a title of the polygon.
