1. An electronic assembly for a tip section of a multi-camera endoscope, the assembly comprising:
- a front-pointing camera facing a first direction;
a first side-pointing camera facing a second direction;
a second side-pointing camera facing a third direction, wherein the second direction is opposite the third direction and wherein the second and third directions are substantially perpendicular to the first direction;
a camera circuit board configured to communicate with the front-pointing camera, first side-pointing camera, and second side-pointing camera; and
a flexible illuminator circuit board comprisinga first section comprising a first plurality of flexible panels;
a second section comprising a second plurality of flexible panels;
a third section that is attached to the first and second sections, wherein, in a first configuration, the first section, second section and third section define a first plane;
a first illuminator mounted on the third section;
a second illuminator mounted on one of said first plurality of flexible panels;
a third illuminator mounted on one of said second plurality of flexible panels wherein, upon said flexible illuminator circuit board being folded into a second, operative configuration, the first illuminator is positioned adjacent to the front-pointing camera and defines a second plane orthogonal to the first plane, the second illuminator is positioned adjacent to the first side-pointing camera and defines a third plane orthogonal to the first plane, and the third illuminator is positioned adjacent to the second side-pointing camera and defines a fourth plane orthogonal to the first plane, and wherein said second, third and fourth planes are different.
