1. A metering circuit for a luminaire connectable between a mains supply and a luminaire including a luminaire controller, the metering circuit comprising:

  • a voltage measurement circuit providing a voltage output signal whose value is equal to the voltage measured at an input to the luminaire controller;

    a current measurement circuit providing a current output signal whose value is equal to an accumulation of the current consumed by the luminaire and by the luminaire controller; and

    a processor connected to the voltage and current measurement circuits, the processor being configured for receiving the voltage and current output signals, for processing the received voltage and current output signals, and for providing signals representative of parameters derived from the voltage and current output signals,wherein the provided signals representative of parameters derived from the voltage and current output signals include combined energy consumption values of the luminaire and of the luminaire controller.
