1. A locomotive implant for usage within a predetermined magnetic field generated external to the locomotive implant and a fluid comprising:
- a body;
a source of power disposed on or within the body;
at least three fluid electrodes disposed on the body, the at least three fluid electrodes providing for at least three current paths within the fluid between different ones of the at least three fluid electrodes, wherein the at least three current paths and the predetermined magnetic field generate at least three distinct forces, wherein at least one of the generated forces is a steering force that steers the locomotive implant and at least another one of the generated forces is a propulsion force that provides propulsion of the locomotive implant; and
a controller disposed on or within the body and adapted to receive directional control signals and to control the at least three current paths within the fluid using the directional control signals to control the steering and propulsion of the locomotive implant.
