1. A method for measuring a time difference of arrival measurement in a mobile network, the method comprising:
- receiving, by one or more processors, a serving transmission from a serving base station; and
making, by the one or more processors, a status determination of an autonomous muting status of a neighbor base station based on the serving transmission; and
applying, by the one or more processors, a muting threshold test to a neighbor base station reading when the autonomous muting status is active; and
upon passing the muting threshold test, combining, by the one or more processors, the neighbor base station into a position measurement.

9. A system for measuring a time difference of arrival measurement in a mobile network, the system comprising a user equipment device having one or more processors configured to:
-
receive a serving transmission from a serving base station; and make a status determination of an autonomous muting status of a neighbor base station based on the serving transmission; and apply a muting threshold test to a neighbor base station reading when the autonomous muting status is active; and upon passing the muting threshold test, combining the neighbor base station into a position measurement. - View Dependent Claims (10, 11, 12, 13, 14)

15. A non-transitory, tangible computer-readable medium on which instructions are stored, the instructions, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform a method for measuring a time difference of arrival measurement in a mobile network, the method comprising:
-
receiving a serving transmission from a serving base station; and making a status determination of an autonomous muting status of a neighbor base station based on the serving transmission; and applying a muting threshold test to a neighbor base station reading when the autonomous muting status is active; and upon passing the muting threshold test, combining the neighbor base station into a position measurement. - View Dependent Claims (16, 17, 18, 19, 20)
