1. An apparatus, comprising:
- a fastener having a first end and a second end, wherein the fastener is configured to extend between at least two photovoltaic panels each comprising a first side and a second side, the first end of the fastener is disposed on the first sides of the at least two photovoltaic panels, and the second end of the fastener is disposed on the second sides of the at least two photovoltaic panels;
a bracket having a first side and a second side opposite to the first side, wherein the first side is connected to the first end of the fastener, and wherein the second side comprises a mounting surface configured to mount to a device configured to service the at least two photovoltaic panels; and
a plate connected to the second end of the fastener,wherein the fastener, the bracket, and the plate are configured to clamp the at least two photovoltaic panels between the bracket and the plate, andwherein the device comprises a junction box.

Abstract
A device for attaching a junction box to a photovoltaic. The photovoltaic panel has a photovoltaic side and a non-photovoltaic side. The device includes a bracket with a first side attachable to the junction box and a second side attachable to the non-photovoltaic surface of the photovoltaic panel. A central fastener is attachable at one end to the bracket and a plate is adapted for connecting to the other end of the central fastener and for mounting on the photovoltaic side of the photovoltaic panel. One or more rotatable spacers, connectible to the central fastener, may be located on the non-photovoltaic side of the photovoltaic panel. One or more fixed spacers may be located on the non-photovoltaic side connectible to the bracket.

a fastener having a first end and a second end, wherein the fastener is configured to extend between at least two photovoltaic panels each comprising a first side and a second side, the first end of the fastener is disposed on the first sides of the at least two photovoltaic panels, and the second end of the fastener is disposed on the second sides of the at least two photovoltaic panels; a bracket connected to the first end of the fastener, wherein the bracket is configured to enable attachment to the bracket of a device configured to service the at least two photovoltaic panels; and a plate connected to the second end of the fastener, wherein the fastener, the bracket, and the plate are configured to clamp the at least two photovoltaic panels between the bracket and the plate, and wherein the at least two photovoltaic panels comprises four photovoltaic panels.

10. A method, comprising:

attaching a first device configured to service at least two photovoltaic panels to a bracket of a mounting device, wherein the bracket comprises a mounting surface configured to attach the first device thereto; and clamping the at least two photovoltaic panels between a plate of the mounting device and the bracket of the mounting device, wherein the at least two photovoltaic panels are clamped to a side of the bracket opposite of the mounting surface, wherein the first device comprises a junction box configured to electrically connect the at least two photovoltaic panels. - View Dependent Claims (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19)
