- measuring, using a processor, noise, from a sensor attached to a skin of a user, based on a relative difference in displacement between the skin of the user and the sensor, the sensor having an electrode;
determining, using the processor, a number of steps taken by the user based on the measured noise; and
calculating, using the processor, the amount of exercise performed based on the determined number of steps.
