Patent Images

1. A method of printing an image on a woven textile material comprising:

  • applying a base application to at least a portion of said woven textile material corresponding to an area upon which said image is to be imprinted, said base application comprising an aqueous acrylic latex material, one or more acrylic resins separate from said latex material, and one or more coalescing agents;

    printing said ink image onto at least a portion of said textile material containing said base application with one or more digital inks using an inkjet printer; and

    causing said ink image to cure upon said textile material thereby forming an imprinted textile article, wherein;

    said base application comprises;

    between about 30% to about 70% by weight of an aqueous acrylic latex material;

    between about 2.5% to about 20% by weight of one or more acrylic resin dispersions;

    between about 5% to about 20% by weight of one or more coalescing agents; and

    between about 0 to about 40% by weight of a pigment dispersion; and

    said base application is not formulated for use as an ink in forming an ink image.
