Multi-directional, multi-functional, wearable safety lighting apparatus
First Claim
1. A wearable safety lighting device comprising:
- a main housing having a top surface, a bottom surface, and a plurality of side surfaces;
a mounting assembly coupleable to the bottom surface of the main housing, the mounting assembly configured to secure the wearable safety lighting device to a user;
a first plurality of warning light elements coupled to a front side surface of the main housing and disposed within a first light housing positioned between an upper housing portion and a lower housing portion of the main housing;
a directional work light coupled to the front side surface of the main housing and distinct from the first plurality of warning light elements;
a second plurality of warning light elements coupled to a rear side surface of the main housing and disposed within a second light housing, distinct from the first light housing, the second light housing positioned between the upper housing portion and the lower housing portion of the main housing;
a first beacon light coupled to the top surface of the main housing and configured to emit visual signals in a direction facing outward from the top surface of the main housing, the first beacon light positioned within the first light housing;
a second beacon light coupled to the top surface of the main housing and configured to emit visual signals in a direction facing outward from the top surface of the main housing, the second beacon light positioned within the second light housing;
a power source configured to supply power to the first and second plurality of warning light elements, the directional work light, and the first and second beacon lights; and
a controller programmed to;
energize the first plurality of warning light elements following depression of a first control button;
energize the second plurality of warning light elements following depression of a second control button;
energize the directional work light following depression of a third control button; and
energize the first beacon light, the second beacon light, the first plurality of warning light elements, and the second plurality of warning light elements following depression of a center control button.

Abstract
A multi-functional, multi-directional wearable safety lighting device is disclosed herein that includes a main light housing and a magnetic mounting assembly coupleable to a bottom surface of the main light housing. The mounting assembly is configured to secure the wearable safety lighting device to a user. The main light housing includes warning light elements coupled front and rear side surfaces. A directional work light is coupled to the front side surface of the main housing and is distinct from the warning light elements. A power source supplies power to the warning light elements and the work light. A controller is programmed to energize the warning light elements in select subgroups following depression of a first control button or a second control button, and energize the directional work light following depression of a third control button.

11. A wearable safety lighting apparatus comprising:

a main light assembly comprising; a rechargeable power source disposed within a housing; a first light assembly engaged between a top portion and a bottom portion of the housing, the first light assembly comprising a first plurality of light components, a first beacon light, and a work light component; a second light assembly engaged between the top portion and the bottom portion of the housing, the second light assembly comprising a second plurality of light components, and a second beacon light; a plurality of switches configured to selectively energize the first plurality of light components, the second plurality of light components, the first beacon light, the second beacon light and the work light component to cause visual signals to emit therefrom; and a first magnet coupled to the bottom portion of the housing; and a mounting assembly comprising a second magnet positioned to align with the first magnet to secure the wearable safety lighting apparatus through clothing of a user; wherein the mounting assembly further comprises a pair of flanges extending outwardly from a top surface of the mounting assembly; and wherein the second magnet is positioned between the pair of flanges. - View Dependent Claims (12, 13, 14, 15)

16. A wearable safety lighting apparatus comprising:

a multi-functional light assembly comprising; a housing; a first light assembly engaged between a top portion and a bottom portion of the housing, the first light assembly comprising a first plurality of light components, a first beacon light, and a work light component; a second light assembly engaged between the top portion and the bottom portion of the housing, the second light assembly comprising a second plurality of light components, and a second beacon light; and a first magnetic component secured to a bottom surface of the multifunctional light assembly; and a mounting assembly coupleable to the multi-functional light assembly via a second magnetic component secured to a top surface of the mounting assembly; wherein the first and second plurality of light components, the first and second beacon lights, and the work light are controlled by a plurality of switches connected to independently operate the first and second plurality of light components, the first and second beacon lights, and the work light in a plurality of subgroups; and wherein one of the plurality of switches is an emergency override switch causing the plurality of subgroups to alternating operate. - View Dependent Claims (17, 18, 19)
