1. A computer-implemented method for distributing patron information in a gaming environment, the method comprising:

  • logically associating by at least one patron server a first plurality of gaming properties to create a first property group based at least in part on a first set of governmental laws that govern the first plurality of gaming properties, each gaming property of the first plurality of gaming properties is a respective tangible property where at least one patron at the respective tangible property engages in at least one form of at least one of gaming or gambling;

    logically associating by at least one patron server a second plurality of gaming properties to create a second property group based at least in part on a second set of governmental laws that govern the second plurality of gaming properties, the second plurality of gaming properties different from the first plurality of gaming properties, each gaming property of the second plurality of gaming properties is a respective one of the first plurality of gaming properties that are respective tangible properties;

    generating by the at least one patron server a first set of permissions for the first property group, the first set of permissions indicating a respective particular degree of access to each of at least two types of patron information granted to the first property group on a first property group-wide basis, wherein the respective particular degree of access is one of multiple selectable degrees of access above no access and different permissions enable different types of patron information to be shared among the first plurality of gaming properties of the first property group on the first property group-wide basis;

    generating by the at least one patron server a second set of permissions for the second property group, the second set of permissions indicating a respective particular degree of access to each of the at least two types of patron information granted to the second property group on a second property group-wide basis, wherein the respective particular degree of access is one of multiple selectable degrees of access above no access and different permissions enable different types of patron information to be shared among the second plurality of gaming properties of the second property group on the second property group-wide basis;

    receiving by the at least one patron server patron information associated with at least one patron from an originating gaming property;

    receiving by the at least one patron server a request for the patron information from a requesting gaming property, the requesting gaming property being different from the originating gaming property;

    determining by the at least one patron server whether the first set of permissions applies to the request based at least in part on whether the first property group includes both of the originating gaming property and the requesting gaming property;

    determining by the at least one patron server whether the second set of permissions applies to the request based at least in part on whether the second property group includes both of the originating gaming property and the requesting gaming property;

    responsive to both of the first set of permissions and the second set of permissions applying to the request, determining by the at east one patron server whether the second set of permissions is less restrictive than the first set of permissions;

    responsive to both of the first set of permissions and the second set of permissions applying to the request while the second set of permissions is less restrictive than the first set of permissions, verifying by the at least one patron server the request based at least in part on the second set of permissions; and

    responsive to verification of the request, transmitting by the at least one patron server the requested patron information to the requesting gaming property.
