1. An apparatus for use in surgical implantation, comprising:
- an adjustable flexible member construct having a body extending between first and second ends, the body defining first and second longitudinal passage portions, the first end passing into and through the first longitudinal passage portion to place the first end outside of the first longitudinal passage portion and form a first adjustable loop, the second end passing into and through the second longitudinal passage portion to place the second end outside of the second longitudinal passage portion and form a second adjustable loop wherein the flexible member is a suture formed from braided or woven fibers, and wherein said passing of the first end into and through the first longitudinal passage portion includes the first end extending through a first aperture in the body, along the first longitudinal passage portion, and out a second aperture in the body to place the first end outside of the first longitudinal passage portion and form the first adjustable loop, and wherein said passing of the second end into and through the second longitudinal passage portion includes the second end extending through a third aperture in the body, along the second longitudinal passage portion, and out a fourth aperture in the body to place the second end outside of the second longitudinal passage portion and form the second adjustable loop, the first, second, third and fourth apertures being formed between the braided or woven fibers of the suture; and
a fastener coupled to the flexible member construct.

Abstract
A suture construction and method for forming a suture construction is disclosed. The construction utilizes a suture having an enlarged central body portion defining a longitudinal passage. First and second ends of the suture are passed through first and second apertures associated with the longitudinal passage to form a pair of loops. Portions of the suture lay parallel to each other within the suture. Application of tension onto the suture construction causes constriction of the longitudinal passage, thus preventing relative motions of the captured portions of the suture.
