1. An on-board re-inflatable containment boom for a waterborne vessel, comprising:

  • a length of re-inflatable containment boom made from a flexible non-permeable sheet material, having upper and lower edges and upper and lower portions when deployed, comprising;

    a control rope incorporated into the upper edge;

    multiple re-inflatable float sections incorporated into the upper portion, each having a filling valve and an emptying valve;

    an incorporated air hose extending along an entire length of the boom and connected to all said filling valves and all said emptying valves of said re-inflatable float sections, with an interior of the air hose being maintained at a pre-determined positive air pressure while the boom and the air hose are wound on a reel before deployment of the boom;

    a containment skirt formed by the lower portion, below the air hose and below said re-inflatable float sections;

    a ballast chain incorporated into the lower edge;

    where said re-inflatable containment boom lies substantially flat and capable of being spooled when deflated, and floats with the proper orientation of the upper and lower portions of the boom when inflated.
