Method and system for a wireless universal mobile product interface
First Claim
1. Computer readable media having stored thereon first and second computer-executable instructions, wherein the first computer-executable instructions, when executed, cause a processor of a vending device to:
- recognize a mobile device within communications range of a vendor device; and
transmit a third code mechanism to the wireless mobile device, wherein the third code mechanism takes control of the wireless mobile device'"'"'s menuing, interaction and display functions;
wherein the second computer-executable instructions, when executed cause a processor of a mobile device to;
control receiver hardware of the mobile device that is configured to wirelessly receive information to scan for a wireless communication signal from the vending device to thereby detect when the mobile device is within a wireless transmission range of the vending device, the vending device comprising a display interface including a listing of products available for purchase through the vending device;
in response to the detection of the mobile device being within the wireless transmission range, control the receiver of the mobile device to receive from a wireless network interface of the vending device, instructions to modify a menu system of the mobile device to thereby extend options for accessing vendor device services via the mobile device;
in response to receiving the instructions, control display hardware of the mobile device to generate, the modified menu system on the display of the mobile device, the modified menu system including the listing of products available for purchase;
control user interface hardware of the mobile device to receive a user inputted selection of a menu item of the menu system for selecting at least one of the products available for purchase; and
in response to the user inputted selection, control transmission hardware of the mobile device that is configured to wirelessly transmit information that defines a purchase request from the mobile device to the wireless network of the vending device, the purchase request identifying the selected at least one of the products available for purchase.

Abstract
The present invention provides a solution to the needs described above through a system and method for a wireless universal mobile product interface (WUMPI). Generally, products/objects have their own interface, or man-machine-interface (MMI). Technically, the wireless universal mobile product interface of the present invention (WUMPI) innovates this space by replacing the product'"'"'s MMI by implementing reverse software control via wireless transmission channel and or Bluetooth wireless technologies to control the mobile device'"'"'s screen—replacing the local software component on the mobile device which controls what is shown on the screen in terms of a man-machine interface (MMI). This enables a product/object within the area of the mobile device to take over control via the wireless transmission channel or other wireless capability of the mobile device and to “extend” the product interface to the mobile device that came within its control range, or the product/object'"'"'s personal area network (PAN).
