  • an insulative housing forming a receiving cavity with two opposite sides in a vertical direction which is compatible with a standard plug connector with twelve contacts on each side;

    an upper terminal module and a lower terminal module assembled and retained in the insulative housing, the upper terminal module including an upper insulator with a plurality of upper contacts and the lower terminal module including a lower insulator with a plurality of lower contacts, the upper and lower contacts comprising front contacting sections extending from the corresponding insulators and into the receiving cavity and tail sections embedded in rear flat portions of corresponding insulators;

    a metallic latch including two opposite latching arms extending into the receiving cavity at two opposite transverse sides thereof in a transverse direction perpendicular to the vertical direction; and

    a cable comprising a plurality of wires;

    wherein the rear flat portions of the upper and lower insulator are disposed behind the insulative housing, the tail sections of the upper and lower contacts are exposed on a top surface of the rear flat portions of the upper insulator and a lower surface of rear flat portions of the lower insulator to be directly solder to the corresponding wires of the cable;

    wherein each of the upper and lower contacts is categorized with a pair of grounding contacts at two opposite transverse ends, a pair of power contacts between the pair of grounding contacts, and a specific contact without any high speed differential pair.
