1. A system, comprising:
- an electronic device configured to receive at least one subscriber identity module (SIM) card;
authentication logic configured to enable communication between an authenticating entity and the electronic device, wherein a user is associated with a user profile residing with the authenticating entity, and wherein the authenticating entity communicates with the user when the user is authenticated;
carrier logic configured to;
(i) identify a plurality of SIM cards of the electronic device, wherein the plurality of SIM cards are associated with a carrier; and
(ii) request carrier data associated with the plurality of SIM cards from the carrier; and
update logic configured to update the user profile at the authenticating entity with the carrier data associated with the plurality of SIM cards such that the user profile is linked to the carrier data and the SIM cards;
a verification logic configured to verify that the electronic device is an original device and that the plurality of SIM cards are being used in the original device wherein the authenticating entity communicates with the user when the electronic device is verified,wherein the authentication logic, carrier logic, update logic, and verification logic are implemented in hardware.

Abstract
Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with multi SIM card device binding are described herein. According to one embodiment, a system includes an authentication logic configured to enable communication between an entity and a user. The user is associated with a user profile. The system further includes a carrier logic configured to identify a subscriber identity module (SIM) card of a carrier. The carrier logic also requests carrier data associated with the SIM card from the carrier. An update logic is configured to update the user profile with the carrier data.

8. A method, comprising:
-
providing a user electronic device associated with a user and configured to receive at least one subscriber identity module (SIM) card; enabling communication between an authenticating entity and the user electronic device, wherein the user electronic device is associated with a user profile residing at the authenticating entity and wherein the authenticating entity communicates with the user when the user is authenticated; identifying a first SIM card of the user electronic device, wherein the first SIM card is associated with a carrier; requesting carrier data associated with the first SIM card from the carrier; updating the user profile with the carrier data associated with the first SIM card; binding the first SIM card to the user electronic device; identifying a second SIM card of the user electronic device, wherein the second SIM card is associated with the carrier; requesting carrier data associated with the second SIM card from the carrier; binding the second SIM card to the user electronic device; and verifying that the user electronic device is an original user electronic device and that the first SIM card and the second SIM is being used in the original user electronic device, wherein the authenticating entity communicates with the user when the user electronic device is verified, wherein the steps of the method are performed by an authentication logic, a carrier logic, an update logic, and a verification logic that are implemented in hardware. - View Dependent Claims (9, 10, 11, 12)
