A gastroscopic method of implanting a device for treating obesity of a patient by the device being postoperatively and non-invasively regulated to actively stretch a portion of the stomach wall of said patient to actively create a feeling of satiety, the device comprising a stretching device and a control unit for postoperatively and non-invasively regulating said stretching device, the method comprising the steps of:
- a. inserting said stretching device into the stomach of said patient through the esophagus,b. inserting said control unit into the body of the patient, said control unit being adapted to be connected to the stretching device,c. placing said stretching device in contact with the stomach wall,d. fixating said stretching device to the stomach wall such that the control unit can regulate the device for actively stretching the portion of said stomach wall to actively create a feeling of satiety in the patient.
