1. An eye-imaging system for a head-worn display, comprising:
- a. a display adapted to produce image light, the display positioned to project the image light in-line with transfer optics adapted to present the image light to an eye of a user;
b. a structured-light source positioned to illuminate the eye, wherein the structured-light source produces a structured light in a predetermined pattern; and
c. a camera positioned to capture eye-image light that originates as a reflection of the structured-light off of the eye, wherein changes in captured reflections of the pattern of light as compared to the predetermined pattern are interpreted as changes in direction of the eye.
