1. A communication system, comprising:

  • a network switch box configured for communicatively coupling with a plurality of radios and a optical network anda server, wherein the server functions as a control device;

    wherein the system enables multiple wireless signals to be sent via an optical network for connection to a wide area network (WAN);

    wherein the server controls the communication protocols in conjunction with the network switching box;

    wherein multiple virtual networks are under the control of the server;

    wherein the network switch box has a plurality of ports and is communicatively coupled with the optical network via the plurality of ports and/or via Ethernet,andwherein the network switch box is enabled to operate on a plurality of networks such that it receives input from the optical network,andwherein the server controls the communication protocols in conjunction with the network switching box;

    wherein multiple virtual networks are under the control of the server;

    and wherein the server controls the network path of communication between the network switch box and a one more additional network boxes to dynamically control the network path of communication between the portable electronic device and a remote server.
