1. A blade comprising:
- a base extending between first and second sides and between a front and a rear, the base carrying a plurality of couplers at the front, the couplers having first ports facing frontward and second ports facing rearward;
a cable tie region extending rearwardly from the rear of the base, the cable tie region including a tie structure at which a cable tie can be mounted;
a first latch arm disposed at the first side of the base, the first latch arm having a distal end that is flexible towards and away from the base, the distal end defining a first latching member; and
a second latch arm disposed at the first side of the base, the second latch arm having a distal end that is flexible towards and away from the base, the distal end defining a second latching member, the second latch arm being spaced rearwardly along the first side of the base from the first latch arm.

A fiber panel system includes a chassis and at least a first blade configured to moveably mount to the chassis. Each blade includes a base, a frame, and front couplers. The base of each blade defines at least one opening at a location spaced rearwardly from the front couplers. The front couplers may be smart or passive.
