Audio signal reproduction device and audio signal reproduction method
First Claim
1. An audio signal processing device comprising:
- an input configured to receive an audio signal;
at least a first speaker and a second speaker, which are located on a first imaginary line; and
at least a third speaker and a fourth speaker, which are located on a second imaginary line, the second imaginary line being closer to a position of a listener than the first imaginary line, wherein the first speaker and the second speaker are capable of outputting a first sound from the audio signal, the first sound generates a first virtual sound position, andthe first virtual sound position is closer to the first imaginary line than the second imaginary line, wherein the third speaker and the fourth speaker are capable of outputting a second sound from the audio signal, the second sound generates a second virtual sound position, andthe second virtual sound position is closer to the first imaginary line than the second imaginary line, andwherein a first sound pressure value of the first sound at the position of the listener is larger than a second sound pressure value of the second sound at the position of the listener, and/or the first sound reaches the position of the listener earlier than the second sound.

Abstract
An audio signal reproduction device generates, from an obtained audio signal, first reproduction signals for the first speaker group, sounds from which are localized at first virtual sound positions, and second reproduction signals for the second speaker group, sounds from which are localized at second virtual sound positions substantially the same as the first virtual sound positions. The audio signal reproduction device generates the first reproduction signals and the second reproduction signals so that at least phases or sound pressure values of a first sound and a second sound are different at a listening position, the first sound being indicated by the first reproduction signals, and localized at a first position among the first virtual sound positions, the second sound being indicated by the second reproduction signals, localized at a substantially same position as the first position, and substantially the same as the first sound.
