1. A breast implant having a variable textured surface, the implant comprising:
- an elastomeric shell comprising a first region and a second region, an outer surface, and an anterior side and a posterior side;
the first region defined by a first textured surface of the shell, the first textured surface being substantially defined by interconnected pores extending at least about two to about five pore diameters deep to a depth of between about 0.8mm to about 3.0mm into the shell outer surface, wherein the pores have a diameter of between about 400 micron to about 600 micron; and
the second region defined by a second surface of the shell that is different from the first textured surface of the shell, the second surface defined by a surface selected from a group of surfaces consisting of a smooth surface, a second textured surface that is less porous than the first textured surface, a third textured surface having concavities extending no greater than about one pore deep into the shell outer surface, and a fourth textured surface having concavities extending less than one pore deep into the shell outer surface;
the first region being disposed on at least a portion of an anterior side of the shell and the second region being disposed on at least a portion of a posterior side of the shell.

1. A breast implant having a variable textured surface, the implant comprising:
-
an elastomeric shell comprising a first region and a second region, an outer surface, and an anterior side and a posterior side; the first region defined by a first textured surface of the shell, the first textured surface being substantially defined by interconnected pores extending at least about two to about five pore diameters deep to a depth of between about 0.8mm to about 3.0mm into the shell outer surface, wherein the pores have a diameter of between about 400 micron to about 600 micron; and the second region defined by a second surface of the shell that is different from the first textured surface of the shell, the second surface defined by a surface selected from a group of surfaces consisting of a smooth surface, a second textured surface that is less porous than the first textured surface, a third textured surface having concavities extending no greater than about one pore deep into the shell outer surface, and a fourth textured surface having concavities extending less than one pore deep into the shell outer surface; the first region being disposed on at least a portion of an anterior side of the shell and the second region being disposed on at least a portion of a posterior side of the shell.

2. A breast implant structured to facilitate surgical removal of the implant from a patient, the implant comprising:
-
an elastomeric shell comprising a first region and a second region, and an outer surface; a silicone gel filling encased by the shell; the first region defined by a first textured surface of the shell, the first textured surface being substantially defined by interconnected pores extending at least about two to about five pore diameters deep to a depth of between about 0.8 mm to about 3.0 mm into the shell outer surface, wherein the pores have a diameter of between about 400 micron to about 600 micron; and the second region defined by a second surface of the shell that is different from the first textured surface of the shell, the second surface defined by a surface selected from a group of surfaces consisting of a smooth surface, a second textured surface that is less porous than the first textured surface, a third textured surface having concavities extending no greater than about one pore deep into the shell outer surface, and a fourth textured surface having concavities extending less than one pore deep into the shell outer surface; the first region being disposed on an anterior region of the shell and the second region being disposed on a posterior region of the shell.
