1. A wireless control system for controlling remote electronic systems, said wireless control system comprising:

  • an operator input device having a plurality of preset buttons;

    a transceiver module including an antenna;

    a control module including a plurality of memory slots, each of said plurality of memory slots being associated with a respective one of said plurality of preset buttons; and

    wherein said plurality of memory slots are capable of storing a control frequency, a data code, and a vehicle position identifier and wherein said plurality of memory slots are greater in number than said plurality of preset buttons such that more than one of said plurality of memory slots are associated with each of said plurality of preset buttons, and wherein said each of said plurality of memory slots associated with said respective one of said plurality of preset buttons is further associated with a different vehicle position identifier such that no more than one of said plurality of memory slots is associated with a preset button of said plurality of preset buttons for any given vehicle position; and

    an interface module in communication with said control module and a vehicle position determination device,wherein, upon activation of one of said plurality of preset buttons, said control module selects one of said plurality of memory slots associated with the activated one of said plurality of preset buttons having associated therewith a vehicle position identifier corresponding to a current vehicle position, and reads the control frequency and data code from the selected one of said plurality of memory slots.
