1. A method for operating a mobile computing device including a display, a ringer switch, a power button, and one or more processors, the method performed by the one or more processors of the mobile computing device and comprising:
- receiving an incoming call;
generating an audible ring indicative of the incoming call based on the ringer switch being in a first state;
generating a vibration indicative of the incoming call based on the ringer switch being in a second state; and
stopping the vibration, without powering off the mobile computing device, based on a user pressing the power button.
