1. A method of receiving a control channel at a user equipment configured with a carrier indicator field (CIF) in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- receiving a subframe including a plurality of search spaces, wherein each of the plurality of search spaces is configured for a respective component carrier indicated by a respective CIF value; and
monitoring control channel candidates in the plurality of search spaces, wherein the control channel candidates correspond to two or more CIF values for a downlink control information (DCI) format size, andwherein one of the control channel candidates with the DCI format size is monitored in any search space corresponding to any of the CIF values for the DCI format size.

Abstract
The present application is directed to a wireless communication system and, more particularly, a method of processing a control channel at a user equipment in a wireless communication system using multiple carriers. The method comprises receiving a plurality of search spaces, wherein each search space comprises a plurality of control channel candidates and each search space is corresponding to respective carrier. The method also includes monitoring the control channel candidates for the control channel.
