1. A lighting system comprising:
- an electrically insulating carrier having a plurality of conductive elements disposed thereon; and
a two-dimensional light-emitting array of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) disposed over the carrier, LEDs within the array being interconnected in parallel in a first direction and interconnected in series in a second direction different from the first direction,wherein (i) each LED has at least two electrical contacts, (ii) each electrical contact is electrically connected to a conductive element by an electrical connection comprising a conductive adhesive, and (iii) at least one LED comprises a light-conversion material.

The light-emitting array is disposed over the carrier and includes a plurality of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) that are interconnected in parallel in a first direction and interconnected in series in a second direction different from the first direction.
