1. A method, comprising:

  • positioning, at a location within a blood vessel adjacent to an aneurysm, a vascular device having a body in a first, collapsed configuration with the body comprising braided strands forming pores and apertures between the strands, and the body having a longitudinally central section; and

    expanding the body from the first, collapsed configuration to a second, expanded configuration, wherein the pores are generally uniform in size and smaller in size than the apertures in the second, expanded configuration, the apertures being disposed at the longitudinally central section of the body and spaced apart from one another by the pores such that at least one of the apertures is adjacent to an ostium of the aneurysm, wherein blood flows into the aneurysm preferentially through the at least one aperture as compared to the pores.
