1. An integrated pump module comprising:
- a rigid housing comprising a top and a bottom;
a fluid outlet coupled to the rigid housing;
a fluid reservoir disposed within the rigid housing and comprising a top, a bottom, and foldable sidewalls; and
a pumping segment coupled between the fluid reservoir and the fluid outlet, the pumping segment configured to be coupled to and driven by an external pump actuator, so as (a) draw a fluid from the fluid reservoir and pump the fluid to the fluid outlet, and cause the top of the fluid reservoir to separate from the rigid housing top and move linearly towards the rigid housing bottom so that the fluid reservoir sidewalls fold within the rigid housing, and (b) draw a fluid from the fluid outlet and pump the fluid to the fluid reservoir, and cause the top of the fluid reservoir to move linearly towards the rigid housing top, wherein the pump actuator is (i) external to the pump module rigid housing, and (ii) does not direct a compressive force to the fluid reservoir.

12. A pump system comprising:

an integrated pump module comprising; a rigid housing comprising a top and a bottom; a fluid outlet coupled to the rigid housing; a fluid reservoir disposed within the rigid housing and comprising a top, a bottom, and foldable sidewalls; and a pumping segment coupled between the fluid reservoir and the fluid outlet, the pumping segment configured to be coupled to and driven by an external pump actuator so as to (a) draw a fluid from the fluid reservoir and pump the fluid to the fluid outlet, and cause the top of the fluid reservoir to separate from the rigid housing top and move linearly towards the rigid housing bottom so that the fluid reservoir sidewalls fold within the rigid housing, and (b) draw a fluid from the fluid outlet and pump the fluid to the fluid reservoir, and cause the top of the fluid reservoir to move linearly towards the rigid housing top, wherein the pump actuator, external to the pump module rigid housing, does not direct a compressive force to the fluid reservoir; and a pump comprising; a memory configured to store data and instructions; a processor coupled to the memory, the processor configured to retrieve the instructions and data and operate the pump system in accordance with the instructions; one or more docking stations configured to accept the integrated pump module, each of the one or more docking stations comprising a pump actuator coupled to the processor and configured to couple to and mechanically manipulate the pumping segment of an accepted integrated pump module. - View Dependent Claims (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19)

20. A filling station comprising:

a docking location configured to receive an integrated pump module, the integrated pump module having;
a rigid housing comprising a top, a bottom, and a fluid reservoir disposed within the rigid housing, the fluid reservoir comprising a top, a bottom, and foldable sidewalls;
a fluid outlet; and
a pumping segment coupled between the fluid reservoir and the fluid outlet and configured to be coupled to and driven by an external pump actuator so as to (a) draw a fluid from the fluid reservoir and pump the fluid to the fluid outlet, and cause the top of the fluid reservoir to separate from the rigid housing top and move linearly towards the rigid housing bottom so that the fluid reservoir sidewalls fold within the rigid housing, and (b) draw a fluid from the fluid outlet and pump the fluid to the fluid reservoir, and cause the top of the fluid reservoir to move linearly towards the rigid housing top, wherein the pump actuator, external to the pump module rigid housing, does not direct a compressive force to the fluid reservoir, and an information element;a pumping mechanism configured to couple to and drive the pumping segment when the integrated pump module is docked to the docking location; and a programming module configured to associate information with the information element, wherein the information comprises at least one of the set of an integrated pump module identifier, a drug identifier, a patient identifier, and a pumping parameter. - View Dependent Claims (21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27)

28. A method of delivering a medical fluid to a patient, the method comprising the steps of:

placing an integrated pump module in a docking location of a filling station, the integrated pump module having;
a rigid housing comprising a top, a bottom, and a fluid reservoir disposed within the rigid housing, the fluid reservoir comprising a top, a bottom, and foldable sidewalls;
an outlet; and
a pumping segment coupled between the reservoir and the outlet, and a memory in a docking location of a filling station;connecting a source of medical fluid to the outlet of the fluid reservoir; driving the pumping segment to draw a selected amount of medical fluid from the source in through the outlet and pump the medical fluid into the fluid reservoir such that the fluid reservoir expands within the rigid housing so as to cause the top of the fluid reservoir to move linearly towards the rigid housing top; removing the integrated pump module from the filling station; coupling the integrated pump module to an IV pump that is configured to accept the integrated pump module, the pumping segment being mechanically driven by the IV pump; and activating the IV pump to draw the medical fluid from the fluid reservoir and pump the medical fluid to the patient such that the fluid reservoir sidewalls fold within the rigid housing so as to cause the top of the fluid reservoir to move linearly towards the rigid housing bottom, wherein the IV pump does not direct a compressive force to the fluid reservoir. - View Dependent Claims (29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35)
