1. A power adjustment module for an LED lighting system, comprising:

  • a normal power mode to set a current flow to the LED lighting system at a first value that can be sustained indefinitely without the determined temperature exceeding the maximum value for a given environment;

    a temperature module to determine a temperature associated with the LED lighting system and compare it with the maximum value;

    a manual, user selectable turbo boost mode to set a current flow to the LED lighting system at a second, higher unsustainable value for the given environment; and

    a threshold module to automatically decrease the current flow to the LED lighting system based on the determined temperature being within a predetermined range of the maximum value, such that the LED lighting system is automatically transitioned out of the manually selected turbo boost mode.
