1. A solid rinse aid composition comprising:

  • from about 15 wt. % to about 40 wt. % of a solid acid, wherein the solid acid includes one or more of the following;

    citric acid, phosphoric acid, monosodium citrate, disodium citrate, potassium citrate, monosodium tartrate, disodium tartrate, potassium tartrate, and aspartic acid;

    from about 65 wt. % to about 85 wt. % of one or more short chain alkyl benzene and/or alkyl naphthalene sulfonates, wherein said one or more short chain alkyl benzene and/or alkyl naphthalene sulfonates includes one or more of the following;

    sodium xylene sulfonate, sodium toluene sulfonate, sodium cumene sulfonate, potassium toluene sulfonate, ammonium xylene sulfonate, calcium xylene sulfonate, sodium alkyl naphthalene sulfonate, and sodium butylnaphthalene sulfonate; and

    one or more nonionic surfactants;

    wherein said solid rinse aid composition provides a use solution with a pH of less than 2,wherein said solid rinse aid promotes drying and prevents the formation of spots on a metal surface.
