1. A device for treating a vascular dissection, comprising:
- an anchor that can be deployed in a branch lumen connected to a frame having a first elliptical element and a second elliptical element connected together at a pair of connection points, the first and second elliptical elements being configured to form an open cage in a deployed state, wherein the first frame lies within a first plane extending through a major axis of the first elliptical element that intersects with a second plane in which the second frame lies and the second plane extending through a major axis of the second elliptical element, the intersection of the two planes dividing the first elliptical element into a first half and a second half and the second elliptical element into a first half and a second half; and
a cover conforming to an edge of the first half of the first elliptical element and extending to an edge of the first half of the second elliptical element, the cover comprising an outer periphery of the frame, a first portion of the outer periphery being configured to conform to a radial portion of the first half of the second elliptical element, the cover extending to the connection points between the first and second elliptical elements, wherein the frame is configured to unfold the cover during deployment of the frame.

Abstract
Some embodiments are directed to methods and systems for percutaneously treating dissections in a patient'"'"'s vasculature, such as, without limitation, the aorta. The method can include deploying a catheter containing a collapsed anchoring element, frame, and cover through a first vessel to an entry point of the dissection. The anchoring element can be secured to the second branch vessel. The frame can be expanded in the first branch vessel. The cover can be unfolded over at least a portion of the entry point. The cover then reduces blood flow into the entry point.
