1. A graphics application profile management system to upload graphic application profiles (GAPs) to one or more client machines connected over a communications network, the system comprising:
- a central application profile database server for storing said GAPs for a plurality of graphics-based applications, said applications capable of running on a plurality of network-connected client machines;
at least one application server for automatically updating said GAPs in said client machines;
a communication network server operably connected to said central database server through said application server for communicating between said application server and said client machines;
wherein said graphics application profile management system includes a graphics rendering subsystem, the graphics rendering subsystem including a multi-modal parallel graphics rendering system;
the multi-modal subsystem including an automatic mode control module (AMCM) to switch between modes of parallel operation in said multi-modal subsystem; and
,wherein the AMCM includes an application profiling and analysis module and a parallel policy management module.
