Video motion capture for wireless gaming
First Claim
1. A system comprising:
- a first object including a first target;
a unique identification at a location accessible by a user;
an application associated with the unique identification and configured to;
detect the first target;
determine that a property of the first target has changed; and
based on at least the determination, control an element in the application; and
a self-contained electronic device storing instructions that, when executed by the self-contained electronic device, cause the self-contained electronic device to perform a method comprising;
recognizing the unique identification;
in response to recognizing the unique identification, accessing the application by communicatively coupling with a source location that includes the application and that is remote from the self-contained electronic device to thereby launch the application;
capturing a live image in a field of a view of a camera that is communicatively coupled with the self-contained electronic device, wherein the first object is a part of the live image; and
feeding the application with the live image.

Abstract
Embodiments of the present invention embody motion detection via a camera for mobile platform video gaming, in either integrated or separately attachable components. The system includes an object provided by a player or an eatery. The object includes at least one target, each of the at least one target designates a specific area of the object, such as back side, a front side, a first send or a second end. A target can be a color or a tag, and can be removably coupled or integrally formed with the object. The system also includes an application configured to detect the targets, to determine that a property of any of the targets has changed. Based on at least the determination, the application is configured to control an element in the application.

-
an object; a unique identification at a location accessible by a user; and an end-user device storing instructions that, when executed by the end-user device, cause the end-user device to perform a method comprising; communicatively coupling with a source location via a network in response to recognizing the unique identification; accessing at the source location an application that is associated with the unique identification to thereby launch the application; activating a camera that is communicatively coupled with the end-user device; capturing a live image in a field of view of the camera, wherein the object is a part of the live image; and feeding the application with the live image to thereby control an element in the application based on one or more properties of the object. - View Dependent Claims (16, 17)
