1. A gaming system having a device with a button panel, the device comprising:
- (i) at least one display device;
(ii) a plurality of input devices including;
(a) an acceptor of a first physical item associated with a first monetary value to establish a credit balance based on the monetary value;
(b) an input device configured to accept a wager, the wager being deducted from the credit balance;
(c) a cashout button actuatable to cause an initiation of a payout associated with the credit balance;
(iii) at least one gaming device processor; and
(iv) at least one gaming device memory device storing a gaming component;
wherein the at least one display device comprises a touch interface display including a flat surface and having physical structure enabling vertical displacement of the flat surface, the touch interface display displaying a virtual button deck comprising one or more palpable buttons that each contain a series of active elements which produce a raised, tactile shape using the vertical displacement, wherein the active elements enable the one or more palpable buttons to dynamically change their raised, tactile shape, andthe at least one gaming device processor is in communication with the touch interface display, whereinat least one of the touch interface display and the gaming device processor is configured to;
change the raised, tactile shape of at least one of the one or more displayed palpable buttons in response to interaction between a user and the display, andresize the virtual button deck to align coordinates of button icons on the touch interface display with corresponding fingertip positions of a player using a camera by calibrating the touch interface display to map the button icons with the corresponding fingertip positions of the player.

(i) at least one display device; (ii) a plurality of input devices including; (a) an acceptor of a first physical item associated with a first monetary value to establish a credit balance based on the monetary value; (b) an input device configured to accept a wager, the wager being deducted from the credit balance; (c) a cashout button actuatable to cause an initiation of a payout associated with the credit balance; (iii) at least one gaming device processor; and (iv) at least one gaming device memory device storing a gaming component; wherein the at least one display device comprises a touch interface display including a flat surface and having physical structure enabling vertical displacement of the flat surface, the touch interface display displaying a virtual button deck comprising one or more palpable buttons that each contain a series of active elements which produce a raised, tactile shape using the vertical displacement, wherein the active elements enable the one or more palpable buttons to dynamically change their raised, tactile shape, and the at least one gaming device processor is in communication with the touch interface display, wherein at least one of the touch interface display and the gaming device processor is configured to; change the raised, tactile shape of at least one of the one or more displayed palpable buttons in response to interaction between a user and the display, and resize the virtual button deck by detecting coordinates of multiple button icon touches on the touch interface display and calibrating the touch interface display to map the button icons with corresponding fingertip positions of a player. - View Dependent Claims (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19)
