1. A diagnostic tool, comprising:
- a processor;
a display in communication with the processor;
a wireless communication circuit in communication with the processor;
a vehicle communication protocol interface operatively coupled to the processor and allows the processor to communicate with a vehicle under test; and
a memory in communication with the processor, the memory containing instructions that when executed by the processor, causes the processor to;
generate, on the display, a first graphical user interface (GUI) having a plurality of diagnostic functionalities, the first graphical user interface comprising;
a plurality of icons that when pressed causes a diagnostic function to occur by the diagnostic tool;
a search text box configured to receive an input from a user and search a remote database based on the input of the user;
a message banner containing weather information for a location of the diagnostic tool;
an alert, based on the weather information measured by a sensor positioned on a surface of the diagnostic tool, configured to alert the user that weather conditions will interfere with a vehicle battery test; and
a plurality of vehicle icons representing previously tested vehicles, the plurality of vehicle icons include identification information of the tested vehicle, wherein a brightness and an arrangement of each of the plurality of vehicle icons displayed on the first GUI are based on a displayed length of time that has passed since the vehicle was diagnosed, the length of time being set by the user.
