1. A medical device, comprising:

  • an implant including a plurality of struts having terminal ends on opposite ends of the implant, wherein at each end of the opposite ends of the implant, a respective first interlock structure including an enlargement projects outwardly from at least one of the terminal ends on the respective end of the implant; and

    an implant delivery system including;

    an elongate member including second interlock structures, the second interlock structures each being configured to couple with a respective one of the first interlock structures, the second interlock structures including a first set of second interlock structures configured to couple with first interlock structures on one end of the implant and a second set of second interlock structures configured to couple with first interlock structures on the other end of the implant, at least one of the second interlock structures including a receptacle dimensioned to receive the enlargement of the respective first interlock structure such that an outer periphery of the enlargement is disposed at least partially within the receptacle; and

    a retractable sheath configured to substantially surround at least a portion of at least one of the first interlock structures and at least a portion of a respective one of the second interlock structures to keep the at least one of the first interlock structures and the respective one of the second interlock structures engaged to prevent release of the implant while the retractable sheath is substantially surrounding the at least the portion of the at least one of the first interlock structures and the at least the portion of the respective one of the second interlock structures.
