1. A method of providing targeted messaging from a network of wireless access points associated respectively with various service subscribers, comprising:

  • determining whether a message provider has accessed at least one of a first group of one or more wireless access points or a second group of one or more wireless access points, access to the at least one of the first group of one or more wireless access points or the second group of one or more wireless access points provided in response to receiving an indication from the message provider specifying the at least one of the first group of one or more wireless access points or the second group of one or more wireless access points;

    for a particular wireless access point in the first group of one or more wireless access points or the second group of one or more wireless access points, identifying one or more messages associated with the message provider;

    receiving a request from a particular wireless device for a targeted message; and

    providing at least one of the one or more messages for the particular wireless device in response to receiving the request for the targeted message.
