1. A venous access port assembly for implantation into a patient, comprising:

  • a needle-penetrable septum;

    a reservoir lining comprising radiopaque material, the reservoir lining defining at least one reservoir;

    one or more cutouts within the reservoir lining defining X-ray discernable indicia so that the one or more cut outs are in direct contact with contents of the reservoir; and

    a housing securing the needle-penetrable septum, the housing comprising a housing base and a discharge port, the housing base comprising a well to receive the reservoir lining;

    wherein;

    the X-ray discernable indicia indicate, when an X-ray of the patient is taken after implantation, that the assembly is rated to be used for power injection so that a practitioner is advised that the assembly is rated to be used for power injection, andthe one or more cutouts have a width at least large enough to permit X-ray discernability of the one or more cutouts.
