1. A catheter device comprising:

  • an elongated outer member including;

    a proximal stainless steel hypotube having an outer surface, an interior surface, a proximal end, and a distal end, the interior surface forming a proximal lumen extending from the proximal end to the distal end, the outer surface having a constant outer proximal diameter from the proximal end to the distal end; and

    a distal polymer tube having an outer surface, an interior surface, a proximal end, and a distal end, the proximal end of the distal polymer tube connected to the distal end of the stainless steel hypotube, the interior surface of the distal polymer tube forming a distal lumen extending from the proximal end of the distal polymer tube to the distal end of the distal polymer tube, the outer surface of the distal polymer tube having a constant outer profile prior to, during, and after deployment into a patient, wherein an outer distal diameter of said distal end of the distal polymer tube is larger than the outer proximal diameter of said proximal end of the proximal stainless steel hypotube, the distal polymer tube having a length greater than 35 centimeters.
