1. A method of transmitting a non-real time service, the method comprising:

  • generating signaling data including information specifying service identification information associated with the non-real time service, wherein the non-real time service is associated with one or more content items;

    generating announcement data, wherein the announcement data includes a service fragment and a content fragment of a service guide for the non-real time service; and

    transmitting the signaling data via a broadcast signal, wherein the broadcast signal carries IP datagrams, the signaling data is transmitted through a signaling channel in the IP datagrams, and the signaling channel has a specific IP address and UDP port number;

    wherein the content items include one or more files which are delivered in a File Delivery over Unidirectional Transport (FLUTE) file delivery session over the IP datagrams;

    wherein the service fragment includes an element indicating that the service fragment contains information regarding the non-real time service; and

    wherein the content fragment includes a linkage element linking from a content item to the one or more files, the linkage element having an identifier of the content item, the identifier of the content item being used to map one or more files to the content item with a content identifier included in a FLUTE File Description Table (FDT) instance for the non-real time service.
