1. A method in a schedulable wireless communication entity that communicates in a wireless communication network, comprising:

  • receiving, by the wireless communication entity, a radio resource assignment including at least one of a frequency allocation and a time allocation for one or more resource blocks, wherein the radio resource assignment further includes an NS signaling flag for one or more frequency bands, the NS signaling flag indicating whether NS signaling is active; and

varying a spectral emissions level of the wireless communication entity for transmissions in the one or more frequency bands based on the NS signaling flag indicating whether NS signaling is active included in the radio resource assignment.
