1. A resettable dosing mechanism for use with a resettable pen type drug delivery device, said dosing mechanism comprising:

  • a dose button;

    a dial grip operatively coupled to said dose button and a dose dial sleeve that is configured to rotate during dose setting and during dose delivery, said dial grip rotatable to set a dose;

    a spindle for acting on a bung of a cartridge; and

    a driver operatively coupled to said dose button and said spindle, where the driver is engaged with the dose dial sleeve such that the driver rotates during dose setting and does not rotate during dose delivery;

    wherein during an injection of said dose, said dose button moves in an axial direction to cause said spindle to rotate and move in a distal direction to administer said dose, andwherein during resetting of said resettable dosing mechanism, the dial grip must be pulled by a user in a proximal direction to disengage the driver from the dose dial sleeve before the spindle can be pushed in a proximal direction and retracted back into said resettable dosing mechanism.
