First Claim
1. A card apparatus, comprising:
- a card-handling system including internal compartments;
a card recognition system configured to recognize card information including a rank and a suit of each card passing through the card-handling system; and
at least one processor operably coupled with the card-handling system and the card recognition system, the at least one processor configured to;
control the card-handling system to internally insert cards within the internal compartments prior to being delivered to an output tray; and
track a position for each card inserted into a respective internal compartment of the card-handling system;
track the card information for each card passing through the card-handling system; and
associate the position of each card with the card information.

Abstract
Apparatuses, systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for detecting, storing, and retrieving information about the composition of present and past hands of cards in a casino table game. The method includes causing a card-handling device to substantially automatically generate a plurality of hands wherein each hand includes one or more cards. Card information is identified that includes a rank and a suit of each card as each card moves through the card-handling device. A play history is maintained of a card composition of more than one round wherein the card composition of each round includes the cards in each hand of each round. The card information of at least one hand from at least one round may be displayed.

15. A method for tracking and dealing cards using a card shuffler, the method comprising:
-
randomly inserting cards into internal compartments of the card shuffler; generating and storing card information, using at least one processor of the card shuffler, the card information including a rank and a suit for a sequence of cards that are inserted into the internal compartments; generating and storing compartment information, using the at least one processor of the card shuffler, the compartment information including a compartment number for the sequence of cards that are inserted into the internal compartments, wherein generating the card information and generating the compartment information are performed by separate processes of the card shuffler and stored separately in memory as uncorrelated data; and associating, using the at least one processor of the card shuffler, the compartment information with the card information responsive to an event that occurs after groups of cards are formed within the internal compartments. - View Dependent Claims (16, 17, 18, 19, 20)
