1. A nano radio frequency identification (RFID) tag device, comprising:
- a radio frequency (RF) CMOS integrated circuit configured to send an RF signal;
a microcircuit connected to the RF CMOS integrated circuit;
a memory connected to the microcircuit and configured to store identifying information;
a power source configured to power the RF CMOS integrated circuit, the microcircuit, and the memory;
and,at least two nanotube antennas operatively coupled to the RF CMOS integrated circuit,wherein the RF CMOS integrated circuit is configured to receive an interrogating RF signal from an RFID reader,wherein in response to the interrogating RF signal, the RF CMOS integrated circuit is configured to communicate with the microcircuit and to emit a powered, active broadcast reply to the RF signal,wherein the nano RFID tag device is less than about 150 nanometers in width and/or length.
