receive event recorder data from an event data recorder, wherein the event recorder data comprises sensor data associated with a vehicle, wherein the sensor data comprises at least one of;
an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a vehicle state sensor, a temperature sensor, a laser line tracker sensor; and
receive an indication of an event of interest;
a processor configured to;
determine a start mark and an end mark in the sensor data associated with the vehicle for the event of interest based at least in part on the indication, a set of data event regions in the sensor data, and a set of data norm regions in the sensor data; and
an output interface configured to;
provide the start mark and the end mark to a continuous video recorder of the vehicle.

The input interface is configured to receive event recorder data from an event data recorder and to receive an indication of an event of interest. The processor is configured to determine a start mark and an end mark for the event of interest. The output interface configured to provide the start mark and the end mark to a continuous video recorder of the vehicle.
