Abstract

Methods, computer program products, and systems are described that include accepting an indication of a schedule for administration of a bioactive agent to an individual and presenting an indication of an artificial sensory experience at least partly based on the accepting an indication of the schedule for administration of the bioactive agent to the individual.

Claims

1. A computer process for controlling a smartphone device including at least one processing component, at least one communication unit, and at least one user interface, the computer process comprising:

electronically accessing via the at least one communication unit at least one digital therapy application using one or more codes that are associated with at least one dosage of at least one medication for treating at least one mental condition;

obtaining an indication of a time of administration of the at least one dosage of the at least one medication to an individual;

determining using the at least one processing component a predicted mental effect of the individual relative to the time of administration of the at least one dosage of the at least one medication, based at least partly on a profile of the at least one medication and at least one parameter associated with the individual; and

implementing via the at least one user interface the at least one digital therapy application in coordination with the predicted mental effect, wherein the at least one digital therapy application is operable to at least (i) provide at least some interactive digital content requesting input to achieve a mental objective, and (ii) determine a level of success with respect to achieving the mental objective based at least partly on obtained input.

2. A computer process for controlling a mobile device including at least one or more wireless communication units, at least one user interface, and at least one computer processor, the computer process including operations comprising:

accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition;

identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one effect associated with the individual based at least partly on the one or more indications of the one or more attributes of the individual; and

implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one aspect of at least one application for addressing the at least one effect, including at least providing at least some interactive digital content to achieve at least one objective with respect to the at least one effect.

3. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition comprises:

accepting, at least partly via at least one touchscreen, graphical user interface, or tactile interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition.

4. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition comprises:

accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface and one or more instruments for detecting and/or measuring, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition.

5. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition comprises:

accepting, at least partly as user input provided via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition.

6. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition comprises:

accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more of the following types of mental attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition;

anxiety, psychosis, depression, fear, inattention, mood change, phobia, eating issue, development issue, communication issue, socialization issue, personality change, irrational or disturbed thinking, hallucination, delusional belief, or disorganized thinking.

7. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition comprises:

accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more of the following types of physical attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition;

pain, hypertension, sweating, dizziness, lightheadedness, abnormal respiration, headache, fatigue, nausea, fever, abnormal heart rhythm, motor weakness, abnormal heart rate, appearance, or behavior.

8. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition comprises:

accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more of the following attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition;

physiological brain activity, cardiac activity, vascular activity, peripheral neural signal, hemodynamic activity, or metabolic activity.

9. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition comprises:

accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more of the following types of medical history attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition;

illness, symptom, medicine, treatment, health risk factor, relation of individual, life history, or drug use.

10. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition comprises:

accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more of the following indications of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition;

mood change, impairment of perception or expression of reality, auditory hallucination, paranoid or bizarre delusion, disorganized speech, or disorganized thinking.

11. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition comprises:

accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one of the following types of medications;

mood stabilizer, antidepressant, stimulant, anxiolytic, antipsychotic, or hypnotic.

12. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one effect associated with the individual based at least partly on the one or more indications of the one or more attributes of the individual comprises:

identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one symptom, side effect, adverse effect, response, or reaction associated with the individual based at least partly on the one or more indications of the one or more attributes of the individual.

13. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one effect associated with the individual based at least partly on the one or more indications of the one or more attributes of the individual comprises:

identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one effect associated with the individual based at least partly on the one or more indications of the one or more attributes of the individual.

14. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one effect associated with the individual based at least partly on the one or more indications of the one or more attributes of the individual comprises:

identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one physical symptom, mental symptom, or mental impairment associated with the individual based at least partly on the one or more indications of the one or more attributes of the individual.

The computer process of claim 2, wherein the implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one aspect of at least one application for addressing the at least one effect, including at least providing at least some interactive digital content to achieve at least one objective with respect to the at least one effect comprises:

presenting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one aspect of at least one application for addressing the at least one effect, including at least providing at least some interactive digital content to achieve at least one objective with respect to the at least one effect.

The computer process of claim 2, wherein the implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one aspect of at least one application for addressing the at least one effect, including at least providing at least some interactive digital content to achieve at least one objective with respect to the at least one effect comprises:

implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one aspect of at least one application for addressing the at least one effect at one or more staggered times relative to administration of the at least one medication, including at least providing at least some interactive digital content to achieve at least one objective with respect to the at least one effect.

The computer process of claim 2, wherein the implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one aspect of at least one application for addressing the at least one effect, including at least providing at least some interactive digital content to achieve at least one objective with respect to the at least one effect comprises:

implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one aspect of at least one application for addressing the at least one effect, including at least providing at least one online educational experience, virtual world, virtual reality, social networking interface, online game, networked game, single player game, simulated reality, or virtual tour to achieve at least one objective with respect to the at least one effect.

The computer process of claim 2, wherein the implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one aspect of at least one application for addressing the at least one effect, including at least providing at least some interactive digital content to achieve at least one objective with respect to the at least one effect comprises:

implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one aspect of at least one application for addressing the at least one effect, including at least providing at least some interactive digital content to achieve at least one objective with respect to at least one cognitive capability.

19. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition comprises:

accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more of the following indications of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one antipsychotic medication;

mood change, impairment of perception or expression of reality, auditory hallucination, paranoid or bizarre delusion, disorganized speech, or disorganized thinking,

wherein the identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one effect associated with the individual based at least partly on the one or more indications of the one or more attributes of the individual includes, but is not limited to, identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one symptom of schizophrenia associated with the individual based at least partly on at least one of the one or more of the following indications of the individual;

mood change, impairment of perception or expression of reality, auditory hallucination, paranoid or bizarre delusion, disorganized speech, or disorganized thinking, and

wherein the implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one aspect of at least one application for addressing the at least one effect, including at least providing at least some interactive digital content to achieve at least one objective with respect to the at least one effect includes, but is not limited to, implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one interactive digital therapy application to tutor the individual with respect to the at least one of the one or more of the following indications;

mood change, impairment of perception or expression of reality, auditory hallucination, paranoid or bizarre delusion, disorganized speech, or disorganized thinking.

20. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition comprises:

accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more of the following indications of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one anti-anxiety medication;

subjective indication of anxiety, sweating, abnormal respiration, abnormal heart rhythm, abnormal heart rate, appearance, or behavior,

wherein the identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one effect associated with the individual based at least partly on the one or more indications of the one or more attributes of the individual includes, but is not limited to, identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one symptom of stress associated with the individual based at least partly on at least one of the one or more of the following indications of the individual;

subjective indication of anxiety, sweating, abnormal respiration, abnormal heart rhythm, abnormal heart rate, appearance, or behavior, and

wherein the implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one aspect of at least one application for addressing the at least one effect, including at least providing at least some interactive digital content to achieve at least one objective with respect to the at least one effect includes, but is not limited to, implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one digital deep breathing assistant to provide relaxation therapy to the individual.

21. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition comprises:

accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more of the following indications of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one anti-depressant medication;

subjective input of mood, location, appearance, or behavior,

wherein the identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one effect associated with the individual based at least partly on the one or more indications of the one or more attributes of the individual includes, but is not limited to, identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one symptom of depression associated with the individual based at least partly on at least one of the one or more of the following indications of the individual;

subjective input of mood, location, appearance, or behavior, and

wherein the implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one aspect of at least one application for addressing the at least one effect, including at least providing at least some interactive digital content to achieve at least one objective with respect to the at least one effect includes, but is not limited to, implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one user interface modification to at least one social networking website improve mood of the individual.

22. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition comprises:

accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one indication of behavior of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one attention deficit disorder medication,

wherein the identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one effect associated with the individual based at least partly on the one or more indications of the one or more attributes of the individual includes, but is not limited to, identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one symptom of attention deficit associated with the individual based at least partly on the at least one indication of behavior of the individual, and

wherein the implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one aspect of at least one application for addressing the at least one effect, including at least providing at least some interactive digital content to achieve at least one objective with respect to the at least one effect includes, but is not limited to, implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one game that requires mental concentration to achieve one or more goals.

23. The computer process of claim 2, wherein the accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, one or more indications of one or more attributes of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating at least one mental disorder or condition comprises:

accepting, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one indication of behavior of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one autism disorder medication,

wherein the identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one effect associated with the individual based at least partly on the one or more indications of the one or more attributes of the individual includes, but is not limited to, identifying, at least partly using the at least one computer processor, at least one symptom of autism associated with the individual based at least partly on the at least one indication of behavior of the individual, and

wherein the implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one aspect of at least one application for addressing the at least one effect, including at least providing at least some interactive digital content to achieve at least one objective with respect to the at least one effect includes, but is not limited to, implementing, at least partly via the at least one user interface, at least one visual stimulus to address the at least one symptom of autism associated with the individual.

24. The computer process of claim 2, further comprising:

controlling at least one administration unit to administer the at least one medication for treating the at least one mental disorder or condition.

25. A computer process for controlling a smartphone device to perform operations comprising:

accepting one or more indications of restlessness or agitation of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one medication for treating addiction;

identifying at least one addiction withdrawal symptom associated with the individual based at least partly on the one or more indications of restlessness or agitation of the individual; and

implementing at least computer game to distract the individual in response to the at least one identified addiction withdrawal symptom.

26. A computer process for controlling a smartphone device to perform operations comprising:

accepting one or more of the following indications of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one anti-depressant medication;

social network application usage history, location, appearance, or behavior;

identifying at least one symptom of depression associated with the individual based at least partly on at least one of the one or more of the following indications of the individual;

social network application usage history, location, appearance, or behavior; and

implementing at least one user interface modification, at least one music track, or at least some light therapy treatment to improve mood of the individual in response to the at least one identified symptom of depression.

27. A computer process for controlling a smartphone device to perform operations comprising:

accepting one or more indications of behavior or movement of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one pain medication;

identifying at least one symptom of pain associated with the individual based at least partly on the one or more indications of behavior or movement of the individual; and

implementing at least one computer game to distract the individual in response to the at least one identified symptom of pain.

28. A computer process for controlling a smartphone device to perform operations comprising:

accepting one or more measurements of mental functioning of an individual who is taking or has taken at least one neurodegenerative medication;

identifying at least one symptom of a cognition issue associated with the individual based at least partly on the one or more measurements of mental functioning of the individual; and

implementing at least one game to facilitate exercise of one or more mental faculties of the individual in response to the at least one identified symptom of a cognition issue.

29. A computer process operable to control a smartphone device to perform operations comprising:

monitoring at least one attribute of an individual in association with administration of at least one medication to detect one or more mental symptoms;

presenting at least one visual stimulus at least partly in response to one or more detected mental symptoms to affect an intervention treatment, which at least one visual stimulus is selected based at least partly on the at least one monitored attribute of the individual; and

transmitting information associated with the one or more detected mental symptoms of the individual to at least one online destination that is accessible to at least one healthcare provider.

30. The computer process of claim 29, further comprising:

establishing a communication link with at least one device of a healthcare provider to enable electronic interaction.

31. The computer process of claim 29, further comprising:

electronically accessing at least one application for presenting the at least one visual stimulus at least partly using one or more codes packaged with the at least one medication.

32. The computer process of claim 29, further comprising:

electronically accessing at least one application for presenting the at least one visual stimulus at least partly using one or more programs stored on media packaged with the at least one medication.

33. The computer process of claim 29, further comprising:

controlling at least one administration unit to administer one or more dosages of the at least one medication.

34. The computer process of claim 29, wherein the monitoring at least one attribute of an individual in association with administration of at least one medication to detect one or more mental symptoms comprises:

monitoring at least one of the following attributes of an individual in association with administration of at least one medication to detect one or more mental symptoms;

behavior, appearance, voice, activity, hearing, or inattention.

35. The computer process of claim 29, wherein the monitoring at least one attribute of an individual in association with administration of at least one medication to detect one or more mental symptoms comprises:

monitoring at least one attribute of an individual in association with administration of at least one medication to detect one or more mental symptoms associated with stress, cognition, hyperactivity, nervousness, lack of responsiveness, pain, depression, addiction, autism, anxiety, inattention, or mood.

36. The computer process of claim 29, wherein the presenting at least one visual stimulus at least partly in response to one or more detected mental symptoms to affect an intervention treatment, which at least one visual stimulus is selected based at least partly on the at least one monitored attribute of the individual comprises:

presenting at least one visual stimulus at a pharmacokinetic-based staggered time relative to administration of the at least one medication, which at least one visual stimulus is selected based at least partly on the at least one monitored attribute of the individual.

The computer process of claim 29, wherein the presenting at least one visual stimulus at least partly in response to one or more detected mental symptoms to affect an intervention treatment, which at least one visual stimulus is selected based at least partly on the at least one monitored attribute of the individual comprises:

presenting at least some interactive digital therapy content at least partly in response to one or more detected mental symptoms to affect an intervention treatment, which at least one visual stimulus is selected based at least partly on the at least one monitored attribute of the individual.

38. The computer process of claim 29, further comprising:

establishing a communication link with at least one system of at least one healthcare provider to enable electronic interaction involving the at least one healthcare provider; and

electronically accessing at least one application for presenting the at least one visual stimulus at least partly using one or more codes or media packaged with or identified for the at least one medication,

wherein the monitoring at least one attribute of an individual in association with administration of at least one medication to detect one or more mental symptoms includes, but is not limited to, monitoring behavior, appearance, voice, and activity to detect one or more mental symptoms associated with stress, depression, or addiction to time presentation of the at least one visual stimulus.
